BLURB

Just a week is not enough time to fall in love, but Fate doesn’t care. Seth’s carefully crafted plan for how his life will go doesn’t include falling in love with a guy in his horrible hometown. He wants to start a new life anywhere but at home. Until Maddox storms in with his multi-colored hair and carefree attitude.

Long distance relationships don’t work and Seth isn’t into gambling with his future. But the more time he spends with Maddox, the more he’s willing to throw caution to the wind. Now his plan for the rest of his life has been turned upside down and seems to include things Seth never thought possible, including a lifetime of happiness in his hometown.

EXCERPT

Just a week.

I stepped out of my car, pulling my duffel bag with me, and gazed at the place I’d called home for the past twenty-two years. We had painted the house a pale gray a few years ago, but already the paint had chipped and cracked. What could you expect from an old house? My parents wouldn’t trade it for the world though. They said it had character. The all-wood all-wood siding had seen better days, but the windows were large and the sky-blue trim work gave the house an inviting feel.

When I had moved to college, my first dorm had been cold and unfeeling, and my roommate at the time hadn’t been much better. I found a happy medium later with the apartment I shared with two other guys not too far off campus. That place had at least been built in this century. I didn’t have to wait for the water to heat up to take a shower, and we had a dishwasher. The house I stood in front of right now took forever to run the water heater and heaven forbid you try running a blow-dryer and the TV at the same time.

I sighed. I could survive a week back in my hometown, with my parents. It was only a week. Seven days. One-hundred-and-sixty-eight hours. Ten-thousand-eighty minutes. After that, the math was too hard. I didn’t have time for anything more complicated.
